If I said $200, I would've been gone in less than 20 seconds lol.

Unfortunately, there's 2 mods that I really want to do, both being fairly expensive.

I called Mitsu Chadstone, and they said they sell the Airbag for $1100 NOT including labour and apparently they don't sell the airbag without installation. Which is weird.

That would be for safety reasons David...those things can go off if you dont know what your doing...also there would be code clearing etc that would have to be done...not like just swapping a non AB wheel over.
Where did this wheel come from? Just wondering what it's history is.
i know there have been some dodgey wheels around (Overseas mainly) that look as though there fine but have a fake airbag loaded. you would never know until it's to late i guess.
Do these things come with like an inspection cert or something?...its a wonder the RTA or something hasnt done something like that.

it's a liability on the company if they don't install the airbag they sold and something happened on install then the company could be liable

Untrue about the airbag. You want an Airbag, I'll sell you one.
There are warning stickers on a sealed box. You break the seal, it idemnifies the seller.

And really guys A$1000 for a complete Plug and Play RA steering wheel is cheap. The Airbag itself is A$800+ brand new.

The courts have made silly decisions before Ofey...If some one does a break and enter and hurts themselves in your house ...they take you to court lol

The wheel came from a 2011 RA which had been fish tailed and written off.

Wheel came from a reputable wrecker here in Aus. No overseas stuff.

I think $1000 is a good price, but we'll see what others think.

As for the airbag thing, that's just what Mitsu Chadstone told me, I don't know if that's true in other places.

Actually, it's part of the rules that you're supposed to list with the picture.

We've been a stickler about the rules since there have been people who sell parts without owning them.

It's not about googling... .

And if you want to go even further, you're NOT supposed to be selling on behalf of a friend.
