Never going back to that place, what a waste of time and money.
What a crock of y'know. You don't need a manual to tell you to replace the filter after an oil change. It's common sense! Definately one for MMAL HQ. Complain. I wonder how many other unsuspecting custsomers they're shafting. Oh and I'd ask for a full refund of the oil you supplied and cost of service. Don't accept any vouchers or credits that involves redeeming it at that dealership.
Hecky wrote:I have the same problem...where to take my slightly modded RA for it's first (7500kms) svc in Sydney and not have the need to check whether they did change the oil, and the filter and all the other bits they are supposed to do....
Do it yourself, a monkey can do it. Save some bucks and give yourself the warm and fuzzies. :)

I just changed the oil and this is what came out, as you can see the filter is black and the oil is the same colour.
zOMG, that's pretty poor. I avoided buying from Lander for various reasons, one of them was that the vibe just didn't feel right. Hmmm, my gut instinct, I trust it. :)

I think I'll do my own oil changes. One wonders if any dealer, that when you provide them with your own fully synth or other oil, do they swap it and give you their bog standard stuff and use the fully synth stuff on their own car. LOL.

Edit: fix my atrocious typo mistakes....

Pretty poor that firstly they didnt do it properly & secondly refuse to fix it!!

I keep getting SMS's from these guys telling me to book in for service to retain my extended warranty (BS) & that I'll get a free gift (probably the bowling pass)...

Messaged them back that I'm getting my car service per the schedule & dont bother me anymore.

What a joke if they themselves wont do the job right & rip me off in the process. :x

Yeah, changing the engine oil and oil filter are not a real issue, I'm more concerned about servicing the SST. Read somewhere that it's recommended to get the transmission fluid changed every 7500kms?

Not 7,500 geez! That's way to early!

I think the magic number is 60,000.

VW/Audi's DSG is "filled for life", but they replace it at 60,000.

I'm going to try the Parramatta Motor Group after being unsatisfied with the service/timeliness of Alto in Pennant Hills.

Hey Andrey,
how did you finish up with your Steering Position Sensor problem.

I understand MRT finally fixed it and put you back on track, hopefully they didn't hit you up for much expense ?

What about the other mob who caused the problem in the first place and then washed their hands and didn't want to know about it any more,
cant remember their name of hand (maybe that's a good thing for me).

As for a trusting and knowledgeable Mitsu Dealership you might feel at ease with:
Sydney City Mitsu Service Centre (Ralliart Approved)
Epsom Rd, Rosebery. (opposite Suttons Holden)

Ask for John Campagna ( Service Client Rep ) at the front counter and tell them Italian Sam from Rosebery sent you.
Their Chief Mechanic Rosso will probably over-look or take care of your service.

Regards: Sam.

Cheers Sam!!

Jes spoke to John Campagna @ Syd City Mitsu and mine is booked on early Feb for 30000Km service. Really friendly and helpful with questions.
Not the cheapest quote but if this was meant to get to know a good Mitsu dealer for servicing then im happy to spend.

Will spread the word once finalised.

I remember booking my RA for its first 6 months service.
Everything was good except when I looked at the recorded video I had of them speeding up and down a street doing 90 in a 50 zone.
Still wonder if I should of said anything.

John...definately would like to get a copy of that video to give to the service manager when i take my car in and why i have them put on the job sheet "Not to be test driven".
I "TELL" the service manager to cantact me if the car needs to be test driven and i will arrange to be there to drive it with a mechanic in the car...afterall "I'M the person that drives it not some grotty "Thrash it" because its not mine mechanic.
The members on here do have some power as i have threatened before to name and shame on the forum letting Thousands of Lancer owners and prospective Mitsubishi/Lancer owners aware of what i think of there service.
BTW...below is what the mechanic see's as he sits in my drivers side seat
