I'm just special.
I don't know anything about it either (obviously). Pointless advertising. So..are they brighter than 5800K?

They head lights you purchased are only Halogen Projectors, not HID Projectors that is why they sent Halogen bulbs. There is a difference in the projector lenses between the two. If they sent you HID bulbs they would be illegal to use as those head lights are not self levelling and your car does not have head light washers.

I bought them (headlights and bulbs) from mars performance.
I think they shouldn't write on their 'HID' AND 'XENON' if they aren't. I'm sure I won't be the only one to get confused. I wanted 5800 K bulbs which is what I paid for ...but if 6500K is brighter than who cares? As long as I wasn't overcharged ( and they aren't illegal).
Oh yes...the whole HID debate. Ill be talking to someone about that. There is a lot of ifs and buts.

6500k doesnt necessarily mean brighter. The kelvin is a measure of heat and hence the colour of the light. 6500k is a lot more blue than 5800k. I think the legal temp is 6000k which is pure white
Someone correct me if im wrong.
