I can't. My default grills if you look carefully are NOT black, they're silver grey. If I do the middle bar in black, there will be 4 colors: Grey from the front panel, silver grey from the grill, silver from the chrome AND the black out. Too many colors. I've now kept it 2 toned if you know what I mean.

Not many car fronts have more than 2 colors.

You make a fair point there ofey

your car looks cool the way it is ofey, and it would look silly if it had a blacked out bumper.

If anyone is interested in the lip that goes around the entire front of the car I have mine up for sale. Only wanting what I got for it which is $340~. Hasn't been fitted to my car at all, and is still in the plastic covering that came with it.

Car is lowered...I have quite a few mates with incredibly steep driveways where I have to be incredibly careful getting up now and still scrape on.

If I fit it, it'll be completely cactus within a few weeks and I'd rather someone have it whose car isn't lowered where it lasts them forever.

I am assuming he means the lip - the best pics so far of it are here - http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=1039& ... &start=375 - see the post by bungfritz - he is the closest to attaching it to the car so far (or at least has the best pics of it online) for an idea of what it is/looks like.

Looks off the dial tho ;-)

Jazzy, see my pics on a previous page of this thread.
I used 4 screws. All details in my post.
I didnt use any silicone glue or other adhesive as I wanted to be able to remove it clean if it got broken etc.

Thanks for that mate ;-)
I'm REALLY hesitant to drill a visible part of the car though. I just can't - might look into some double sided tape for where you put the other 2 screws - I think that'll do the trick! rather it rip some tape off if it gets bumped than rip a hole in my bumper's all I'm thinking...

FARK I'M SCARED TO DRIVE AT THE MOMENT! LOL!
U V-lippers r just NUTS! :-P

Any Vlips with a lowered car? is it driveable? can you still reverse without bottoming out? lol?!

I used the 2 holes the C-Lip came with. I used self-tapping screws and also I ran a length of 3M tape double sided tape on the top edge of the grill and pressed down.

It's fairly stable.

As I said to you at the last meet. I spray some body deadener spray on the back side of the lip. Stiffens it up a great deal.

Okies - quick photo post :-)

My new HOT front end :-D

After a little Photochopping :-D
I'm thinking the chrome edging works nicho - Different strokes for different folks - it just makes that bit more of a statement to me :-) Have to see how it fits on tho

I can see subaru drivers being worried about my un-worked 2.0lt until they take off in a cloud of smoke next to me - lol

Opinions ppl? To chrome or not to? haven't decided completely, but 80% sure I will... I know this isn't a 'show off my ride thread' - but the deal's been done, this is a dead post unless we keep rousing conversation, correct? ;-)

Ofey:
I considered that and thought that if i WAS to hit something, I'd rather the lip just give way, i break a $200 lip but get to hopefully keep my front airdams if I act quick enough...

If it WERE more rigid, I'd have less chance of keeping more of my bumper intact...

Which is why I'm leaning toward tape maybe, or sikaflex, but i'll have to see how it reacts with paint etc. I wanna be able to take this off if I don't like it down the track...
