all the update software is here: http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=13484

Just copy the files already on your SD card and put them on a computer somewhere safe so you can go back to the original software if you need.

Im still finding it odd you need a canbus adaptor to make non canbus things work

Yeah I have seen the unit with CANBUS and it does enable a few extra features. Mostly safety stuff like screen dimming when the headlights are on etc.

It can't be canbus though as nothing to do with Cj lancer stereo is canbus. Sounds like its an extra module that's all. Not actually canbus wiring
