Yeah ive been considering doing my sides with this stuff. I saw it on a silver ra somewhere, thought I saved the pics, but yeah it finishes the sides nicely :)

I posted this in another thread before, but looks like this is a good thread to share this.

Get one! It's an inexpensive solution for a lip and it really protected my bumper yesterday when I hit a deep driveway which I didn't see :(
Only minor scratches though!

Iv got ez-lip front & sides on mine. Really good product as it does protect and gives the car a different look then your regular bumper. :D

About to order one myself, what's the longest you've had yours using only 3M tape?

Was the 230cm enough, assuming all of it was usable

Thanks

Very, very old thread Pat - last post was 01/03/13

If you are going down that track, have a look at Rhino Lip; similar but stronger (and stiffer) - EZ-Lip is a foam structure with a smooth outer surface, Rhino Lip is solid all the way through.

The EZ-Lip is therefore more flexible, but tears more easily - the Rhino Lip won't tear, but it's harder to get around tight corners...!

Cheers mate, good advice :)

I was only leaning towards Ez lip because it could be stuck on. Didn't want to drill holes :D

You'll need to drill holes anyway - unless you're unbelievably lucky and never scrape a driveway or drive faster than 60km/h (don't forget that at high-speed, the air passing under your front bumper will try and peel the Ez-Lip down and off..).

You can just use self-tapping screws and wide (panel) washers th hold it all in place if/when it starts to peel.

Don't let me put you off, I'm going to do this on mine anyway, just as a 'scrape prevention'

:-)

Sounds good $35 to prevent bumper damage. Was on the look out for lips which utilise the stock screw locations so could be held on without drilling and restuck on after it peels but doesn't seem like they make anything similar for the Cj.
