Firstly welcome to Club CJ Jordan!

If I was you I would buy a new LX model Lancer over a basic ES! The LX has quite a number of better features over the ES models! However it comes down to how much you want to spend and what best suits your needs!

I have the manual transmission which I love, however I have never driver a CVT Lancer! This is because I purely prefer manual over auto, auto seems too boring to me!

As for colour that dark blue colour is nice, I have seen a couple and they look awesome with the chrome grills! Just a warning though the paint on the Lancer is very thin compared to other cars out there today! So on a darker coloured car you are more likely to see those stone chips and scratches! I have the 'Cool Silver' colour and I have several paint chips and scratches which aren't really noticed unless you look at the right angles or in the right light! One advantage of Silver!

jordan.fuchs wrote:Famous last words. Yeah to be honest, I took the ES CVT for a test run and before I even left the dealership I had it in manual mode (or whatever its technically called). Thanks for all the help btw guys, its really great to think that soon I will not only be part of a group of people that drive awesome cars, that Ill also be a part of such a great group of CJ enthusiasts. As for the meet on the 17th, I might come check it out, I dont have much planned for that day/night (I may even have my lancer by then!)

Hehehe. :P I'll be around there again one day when visiting friends. When I was there I did leave right before dark.. and when I had to change at Glanville it was dark already. :/

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums more mate, and all the best with your future purchase!

Welcome to the club mate.
I have the manual. I don't mind the auto as they better on fuel and and don't sound like there reving there tits off at 100km. My mine does 100km at 2,700 revs. But I'm glade I got the manual they go quicker and still do good on fuel as Mitsubishi say the do 7.7 but I get 6.2. But it all up to your likings :)

I think I've decided on the manual, I took my mates impreza for a test-drive and I really enjoyed driving manual.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll update with pics when I buy her :)

And hopefully meet a few of you this weekend.

Is $20,990 a good price for a demo LX ? It has no extra non-standard features.

Also, what features would you guys recommend getting thrown in by Mitsubishi?

There are still some 2012 plated Lancers hanging around going for under 19k, not demo's either. Brand new. Extras from Mitsu? Nothing you can't buy cheaper third party as far as I can tell, maybe window tinting??????
