New member from Liverpool - Jordan

Postby jordan.fuchs » Mon Feb 11, 2013 1:20 pm

Hi Guys,

As the title says, I'm from Liverpool NSW (don't judge!).

I don't currently own a CJ however, I think I'm about 7 days off owning one, I just need to make my mind up!

I hope I can get some great answers to questions as well as provide my 2 cents where it's helpful!

Cheers,
Jordan

Welcome to the club mate. Are you choosing between 2 lancers or you choosing between a lancer or another car? :O

Haha, nah choosing between the ES and the LX (if budget allowed me to, I'd be choosing the VRX!).

It all depends on the budget as I mentioned...

I test drove the ES CVT yesterday and loved it but I'm not sure whether to get CVT/MAN any suggestions?

I have a really good deal on the LX CVT for around $20990 (still a final phase of haggling to go though!)

I would go with the LX if I were you :). And Auto and manual is a personal choice you need to make. Let us know!

Yeah, I know how to drive manual in theory, only driven it once or twice though (never stalled suprisingly!).

Learning to drive manual properly isn't a problem as my dad only drives auto because his company won't buy him manual!
I have always preferred to drive manual however there hasn't been a manual car in the family and I currently share a car with my sister (until now of course).

Has anyone got any issues/praises with a MY13 CVT or MAN?

I've made my mind up on the ES/LX situation though, all depending on the price I get...

I prefer the manual it's a very personal choice however ... From experience I have both cvt and manual VRXs in my house hold and my manual I feel involves me more in the car when driving it and I love it ... With that said the cvt is good too ... The manual does not make the moo noise though lol at take off

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to go with manual, there's too many things pointing me too it...

As far as colors go, what do you guys have/suggest?

I looked at the sapphire blue with the chrome and it looks really nice.

I've had no problems with my CVT. manuals are cool to drive but in terms of traffic etc cvt is better

Lol it's just what I've heard. I prefer the ease of driving an auto....and don't see the point of having a manual. But that's just my opinion.
