Yea that's true!,
I think the same maybe true for a few other members, so we may have a larger turnout than expected

I'm not saying advanced notice isn't good and it is appreciated.
But it's the nature of my job where sometimes I can't tell if I can take some days off or not that far ahead.
It really depends on the project I have at that time, whether theres a major kafafle that needs to be sorted out etc. And unfortunately I cant really tell if that will happen a few months ahead

2-4 weeks advance notice for annual leave.
usually that's for blocks of 1-2 weeks off so they can schedule us off the difficult stuff before it happens
for something like this where it's a long weekend I can get the leave easy enough. Unfortunately it's whether I get stuck with a problem project at that time or not that is the worry.

i know how people feel with planning things in advanced. i hate planning things, especially my holidays. last year i went to sydney and we only booked the flights n hotel 5 days before we flew out. i used to plan heaps and then it would never happen cos something came up.
thanks to those who have said they are defiantly coming. i will look into booking the accommodation real soon, like the next few days. i will be a bit quiet over the next week as i will be heading back to port lincoln sometime this week(very unplanned, havent even told my mum yet!) and i wont have phone reception where im staying.
when i chat the the holiday house lady later on today i will ask her how busy the place gets around that time and if their house book out fast. there are a few places in that area that other people could book if they decide to come. i think with the amount of people we have coming at the moment we will have a pretty full house.
i am thinking i would like to take a small desposit from people who will be staying in the house we book. is everyone ok with that? when i book the place i will most likely have to put a deposit down.
