You could say the same thing about reverse cameras or sensors. If you use your mirrors then you dont need stuff like that. But I for one am glad for it. It's not really a case of using mirrors or being lazy... for me it's more the fact that there are extra things to help me be safer, so why not use and take advantage of it instead of lifting my nose up at it.
