Earlier this month (January) I ordered these strips.
I was going to use them originally as "Daytime running lights". But when I discovered the angel eyes, these strips became useless. I attempted to sell them. That wasn't very successful.
I was at work the other day and my colleague said "If you can't sell them, why don't you put it in the interior of your car? Maybe on the side of the door? Hook it up so when you open your door, the strips will light up."
I thought it was a brilliant idea. So I might do that instead. How can I go about this?

By door light he means your dome lights. Maybe attach where you want, run the wire in to the door, through to the car, up on of the pillars and patch into one of the roof door light wires.

OH I see. Lol. I'm such an idiot sometimes xD. Anyways, I probably won't have it on the door. Maybe just between the chair and the door.

Nah, I already have a light for my boot. No need to put 2 extra ones in .
Alixxandar wrote:Am I the only one that finds it odd that the keyboard is the wrong way round? Also, boot lights seems like the best idea, either that, or underneath your seats so its sort of like underglow for seats
Lol my 1/4 of my keyboard is under the desk and it's slanted. So that's probably why it looks upside down. As for the lights, I won't do the boot. I'll attempt to put them between the chair and the door.
So hypathetically if I were to put them under my heat, what procedure should I take? Are there any videos or guides on how to do this?

I'd find a 12v switched power, and tap in to that. There's plenty behind your dash, and there's a signal wire for the head unit that I used for my amps signal wires.
The cables would run nicely behind the kick panel and scuff plates on either side. Be careful when removing the kick panel, as there's a round clip at the back (not sure the name of it) that's hard to see unless you know it's there.
As far as ground/negative goes, any bare metal that you can attach a ring connector to will do.
