This one is the one I'm talking about. This one is from a Mitsubishi dealer. It comes with a lot of extra features too.

Yeah, this one is a lot more promising. It's younger, has a better colour and comes with pretty much every option there is.

It looks like Preston Motors in Epping? Go and chat with Nick there. He's a sponsor of our club. They might be able to work out a deal for you

I don't understand the comments in this tread at all. A 2008 model at $27000 is cheap so watch out as the sst is probably gone but a 2010 model at $28000 (with twice the kilometres ) is better.
And if you check the car guide, a 2008 model is only valued at $23,800. Ralliarts do not hold their value.

Much better colour, appears to be treated well, has lots of features, and it is a more refined model compared to the 2008. Despite its kilometres, it seems like the right car to check. It is at berwick mitsubishi though. 78,000 kms is not so bad i guess.

The 08 has been molested... What a stupid comment. How do you know?. Are you the" one owner" that has had the car garaged and serviced.

Much better colour...??????

Every option? The only option is the MMCS and that's overrated ( worst $2000 I spent.)

3 year warranty is offered on the 2008.. Is it the same for the 2010

BTW the 2100 model will be due for its 90000k service so prepare for$1700 cost.

Buy the car you are comfortable with.

Lol you have no idea do you.
Just because it say " all ways garaged and serviced" in the ad means jack shit. Its been screwed around with by god knows who so history of modification is unknown. It has "ralliart" wheel centers stuck to the door cars on all 4 doors.

If it was so much of a great car why was it traded in. Iam sure you could get more privately for it

The 2008 car is obviously approaching 5 years so when the SST goes kaput, there is no more warranty claim. The 2010 one, on the other hand, still has a couple of years or so worth of warranty (granted that it's still intact), so when the gearbox dies within that period, it can still qualify for a replacement.

Correct, however
1. The 2008 model has 3 years warranty offered( no sure what it would cost and what's covered. )
2. Everyone assumes the sst is going or gone kaput!
3. The 2010 model will only have the two years extended as long as Mitsubshi is notified( I had to see the dealership with a letter I received).

I really don't know which is the better car,but for people to insinuate a vehicle that has done 9,000 Kim's a year will have a damaged sst because it is 5 years old and one that's done 26,000km's a year but 3 years is a better car just plain wrong.
I agree warranty should be a factor, but also believe Kim's contribute.

RAs only had big problems with the SST for 09 builds, the 08 build didn't have that many SST faults.

So much speculation in this thread.

First of all,a couple of cosmetic changes does not make the vehicle molested.

Reason fo selling? Could be as simple as the lease ran out! Not everybody wants to keep a lease ticking over past 4 years. This is a very typical Novated Lease duration.

As an owner of a 4+ year old '08 build Ralliart, unmodified with the original SST, less than 32,000km, in good condition, I think the dealer is asking top money.

Oh, '08 warranty is same as all Lancers of that vintage ( up to the point the stopped the 10 years) i.e. 3 standard plus 2 extended plus 5 drivetrain ( known as the 5/10)
CJ RA. Stock!
