did it go bang while you were driving or did it just not start one morning?

Do you have an ECU tune, intake or exhaust mods?

Who is goning to be doing the work on the car? yourself or mechanic? more than likely if paying someone else it is cheaper to pick up a second hand engine and install that.

Ok I've heard of this, but not met anyone with this problem, congratulations First Prize to you.

No idea what this would cost. If it is definitely the timing chain then it probably is a manufacturing problem and they should cover it under warranty.

However if you have mods they might decide to argue.

If it is the timing chain it may not necessarily need to be replaced altogether, sometimes they just need a readjustment/re-tension which doesn't take long at all. A dealership here told me it would be up to 3 weeks to get another one in. That said, that dealer is a pack of morons too! Hope its certainly the former scenario and not the latter

Hope you get your car fixed. Sounds like a real pain. :(

I never liked the dealership in Heidleberg. When i went car shopping they tried to rip me off and had really pour customer service.

If things don't really work out see if you can get your car to Preston Motors Mitsibishi in Epping. Theyre a sponsor of this club. Personally, I have found their service department much better to deal with too
