Unfortunately before my CH lancer (fits ct9a evo 7-9 rails) was written off I'd placed an order through import monster for a evo 8 drivers side recaro.
At least my car was written off before I'd fitted it or that'd be gone too, but now i'm left with a problem.
I now have an 09 my10 lancer es (I believe it doesn't have the airbags that'd make it illegal if removed) and I have a ct9a rail plus evo 8 seat waiting for me to pick it up.
Has anyone had any experience or know anyone who has fitted non evo x seats to an evo x rail? if it was a simple case of bolt it on with no drilling or major modding (which I've heard is possible in some cases) I'd buy the evo x rails and just use it in the CJ.
Any knowledge or insight would be awesome, bit of a long shot though as I don't think my circumstances are repeated very often

my build date appears to be June so perhaps it was listed incorrectly on the ad and is infact a my09 (I should have double checked that, my bad), regardless I can't see an SRS label on my seat.
And this article seems to imply that the facelift occurs for the my10

redbook seems to think it's an optional extra for the ES until my10

yeah, it doesn't really matter whether they have the airbags or not, if a cop is looking that close I would have copped a defect regardless.
Whether I can manipulate it into fitting at all is my concern, will play around with it when I get it but I don't hold out hope skippy, hence looking at evo x rail fitting.
Chances are it won't be easily fitted if it's not a clear cut answer, and the seats sale price will end up going towards coilovers.
