Can't really tell if it makes a difference, I've tried turning off the music and putting down my left window (airbox side!) and giving it a bit. Might make a slight difference in noise...spose I'll give it a few weeks for the ECU to remap and digest the fact that more air is being pumped in then reassess!

Guys,
If you have installed your K & N and the rest of the car is stock I doubt you will feel or hear any diff.
If you do it will be more wishful thinking and the butt dyno.
When I then replaced my stock muffler with my X Force oval, then I noticed a big diff in pick up in 1st and 2nd gear esp below 4000rpm.
The combo of filter and a new free flowing muffler or exhaust will do it.
My friend who has a totally stock VRX certainly noticed the diff.
The diff was immediate but it does take a few hundred km for the ecu to learn the new flow rates.
I need to speak to the dealer/Mitsu re ECU capabilities in this regard as there are waaaayyy too many posts on the diff Lancer forums that are no doubt full of incorrect info and suppositions.
