Hi all
I bought the ralliart bar from bodykitskingdom (don't know if the problem is associated with the fitting of the fog lights in this bar).
I had only had the fog lights on for one night (to test them out, and see what it looked like.. I had only flicked them on and off a couple of times)
But now I've already blown a bulb on the passenger side. The bulbs came with the fog light housing...so I know I haven't accidentally touched the bulb. I've ordered new bulbs just in case during production/transport the bulb was touched.
So basically...if it does happen again, what could be the reason? I thought the attachment where the wiring connects to the bulb could have something to do with it...cos it does seem a bit loose.... But can't be sure that this is the reason

Hmmm...ok thanks.
One of the fog lights where the wires plug into the bottom of the bulb seems a bit loose...whereas the other is fine but I got the bulbs today so I'll maybe try a new one and keep them turned on for a while and see if it happens again.

I replaced the bulb with a new one. The other side is dull...and will blow soon (pulled it out and looked at it...and it has started to go black). It has been working fine so far so fingers crossed

Fuses are there to blow before they damage anything else. Like melt wires and kill relays due to stupid amounts of current draw.
Bulbs will blow if they've been knocked around too much, knocked when on (as the filament is so crazy hot) it will break. The touching of the bulb doesn't cause it to blow but the heat causes the oil on your fingers to score the glass and give it a dull spot.
I'd say you had a faulty bulb (these things happen with any mass produced items - you're always gonna have a dud).

Yeh not sure how much current is going through but I think it was measured when it was installed ( or something was measured anyway) . So I'm gonna be a fog wit for a few weeks to just test them out. I know they are wired correctly so I'm guessing bad globes...but there was a bit of a struggle to fit the new bulb in; the red bit was too big.
