Id go, DIY is the only way to go with car mods, paying someone else to do it just takes away from the fun. And when most mods these days being bolton most people are able to do it but dont have a shed full of snap-on tools at there disposal.

Fail is the name, it failed so hard it stopped me reading the post as soon as I saw it. And that is something coming from someone with an interest in cars...your target audience!

You need a name where people actually take you seriously and describes exactly what you do - "modifications" gives someone the impression this company performs the modifications...from the very little I've read (will probably come back to haunt me...again) this is some sort of self service mechanical type get up. If I were to see your name come up in the whitepages I'd think I could call you to perform modications for me, not myself perform them.

What are you going to take more seriously, a Hyundai Getz with 18" chrome wheels and an oversized bodykit or a stock Evo X?

If the person marking the project knew anything about the modified car scene and knew what 'rice' stood for you'd instantly lose marks.

Tadz, there's not way you'd be able to buy a site with an existing car wash bay for the price you've mentioned. In a capital city, you'd be looking at $750,000- $mill + for commercially/industrially zoned land of a size that would enable you to accommodate a business of that nature. Also, I don't think you need 6 tonne hoists - there are no cars that weigh that much.

Having said that - the concept has some merit and I could see people using it. There is a similar thing happening at the moment with micro breweries - people that don't have all the equipment or the right environment/space etc etc at home are doing their brews in a central factory unit that is temperature controlled with the equipment and specialist advice on site. All they do is hire the equipment, pay for materials and then pay a rent or lease on some space on a pallet rack for their brewskie while it ferments. the Shop then value adds services like bottling, equipment sterilisation and so on. Your concept is a bit similar....

Thanks for your input everyone. I understand where all of you are coming from and i understand the points you are making. But the last thing that my ebiz teacher is gunna think of is an evo compared to a hyundai. Im telling you all this now

If this was a fully serious modifcation shop, there would be alot more explanation, there would be a better name n all that. I know that. I wanted to put a flare on the business. Although it doesnt please everyone, its something unique. If i made this business for real, i would change it to something more appropriate. Plus i have already made most of the logos, banners and promo pieces for my business. Which im just about to show you guys . Although im looking for advice on how to futhur my business plan, dont bother commenting saying change the name, your ideas are unrealistic etc...THIS ISNT A REAL BUSINESS PLAN. ITS HOMEWORK. ALTHOUGH IT HAS TO BE REALISTIC, THE LAST THING MY TEACHER IS GOING TO THINK ABOUT IS THE REALISTIC PRICE OR AVALIABILTY OF CAR WASHES ETC.

This is in an business plan in an ideal situation.

I like it Tadz......You said all along that you wanted some ideas to help you out with homework, and I, for one gave a few to you to jot down. I'm not sure how people thought you were legitimately looking at a business plan and critiquing it to the max (maybe people didn't read the entire thread - it happens!!!) It is something to think about if you would ever like to start some sort of business that includes cars. The name for your "homework" has that "chucking off at yourself and everyone who tries to rice up their ride" and its just a joke (very crafty!!) Nice promo pics too. From now on, when you want something to be a joke you should write that in the thread title!!! (in case people take it too literally)

Lol thanks for that azza, and i can understand everyone not wanting to read that whole business plan, its like 1100 words, and its not even finished.

I know eveyrone likes to have a joke everynow n then thats fine, but im looking for honest oppnions on the idea situation that all my ideas where possible with 'x' amount of money.

I think its kinda pointless telling me its gunna cost me this much so its un realistic. your not gunan find this n all that stuff. Although their good points, their pretty pointless lol
