does anyone have any expertise in this field?
im only wanting to spend a few hundred dollars on it, but obviously want a decent package..

Hey - not an expert on home surround but i have this samsung 5.1/bluray setup and am happy with the sound, esp on the bluray disks. For a cheap small system you won't be complaining
- Self tuned - work in progress - tune revision #16_03
- GS 3 port controlled wooooot :)
- Lowered on Kings
- Black Evo X FMIC/ Evo IX BOV/ Depo HFC/ UR UICP
- Awesome self installed Alpine/JL Audio sound system
- Whiteline Rear Swaybar

The systems seems to do almost everything, 3D, Allshare (DLNA), USB etc.

Just make sure its wifi ready. If not, might be advisable to get one that is wifi ready.

I have LG at home. i have everything connected thru DLNA (via wifi) PS3, BLURAY, SMART TV, SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 and S3.. No wires or cable to connect.

The only gadget that i cant connect is the damn Ipad. Apple does not support DLNA.
