Hi, seem to, and have always had (pre recent update as well) issue with sam-24's posts. No text etc appears. His are the only ones that i've noticed. Could it be a text colour or font issue?

I can fix that easily. What refresh period would you prefer on your phones? 30 seconds too long?

If you turn off data, then each time you establish a new data connection with you mobile carrier you get a new IP address.
A bit of back ground here, on what's going on. The old mobile site (as it was coded) did not update vital data about when a user logged in so mobile users never appeared in the "currently online" display. In fact everyone including admins would be blind to the fact that a user was logged in via mobile portal. A user could be using the mobile site exclusively and would show a "last logged in" date of when they last logged in using the normal desktop site. So using mobile just left no trace of a user's activities. This was a bad thing.
This has now been tightened up. The session tracking code closely reflects what happens with the main site.
The main site uses a combination of a session cookie and a user's IP address to verify if the current session is "valid" if either of these changes, the system logs you out as a security precaution. This is what also seems to be happening to you using the mobile site.
I could look into adding some code to the mobile site, similar to the "keep me logged in" type cookie on the desktop site - and that would solve your problem and keep me happy for a security stand point.

I remember investigating this a while back for my posts, I'd get truncated posts and what not, From memory it was due to the "url" tag being used in posts or a http:// hyperlink being present in the post. Just another one of those low priority "annoyances" of the mobile code I inherited. I'll have to have a look at that at some stage and figure out where it's going wrong.
I've also heard from meets some people can't create posts. If you have any odd "you're not allowed to do that" or some similar message and you believe you should be able to do whatever it was you were trying to do, let me know.
