For years and years we have had food and drink whilst driving, any evidence to support deaths or injuries as a result of driving whilst food in hand??

Sorry but this is blatant revenue raising.

Preferably start watching @ the 3:40 time mark .... :P

Driver education is awful in this country. Getting parents to teach their kids for a 100hrs is a joke - teach all their bad habits is what is happening.

I'd much rather they outlaw smoking while driving first. It's unhealthy and obviously one hand isn't being used to operate the car.

I understand the whole keep two hands on the wheel logic...

But it ain't going to do shit if you don't know how to handle your car!

Come to think of it, this so-called law could be a violation of human rights. I should be able to at least drink water whenever I please, and carmakers have endeavoured to make this possible via cupholders. No god-bloody nanny state can deprive me of H2O. Getting dizzy or dehydrated is way more unsafe than drinking on the go.

I have once been on the phone, while eating a Big Mac, while also driving my manual car through traffic.

It's all fun and games.
Love 'my' car

Can you please cite any reference to this?

I havent seen anything that supports eating and drinking alone.

I have seen an article where they say "You can recieve a fine if your eating or drink and not in proper control of your vechile"...

Drive without proper control of vehicle - $397 and 3 points
Road Rules 2008
Rule 297 (1)

I have no issue with that, so it comes down to police discretion?
