Oil filter - which one?

Postby JohnJohn » Fri Sep 14, 2012 10:18 am

I bought an OEM oil filter recently for my MY10 ES manual (I change the oil & filter myself at the 6 month mark).

This time they gave me an MD360935 but previously they've sold me MZ690115. Naturally I'm curious about this. As far as I can tell, MD360935 is the right filter for my car (some topics here say as much), but what the hell is MZ690115, which I've previously used.

I have been told that a lot of different Mitsu oil filters have multiple applications.

I guess I'm asking for confirmation that both OEM filters with part numbers MD360935 and MZ690115 are correct fitment for a 2010 ES manual.

Thanks guys!

I asked for a replacement filter from Mitsubishi and that little metal ring you need.
I got the filter home and pulled out the old one and found that the new one was considerably smaller than the dirty filter from my car (which came stock from the factory)
Naturally i called the dealer and asked, only to be told that that it is a new revision and nothing to be concerned about unless it didn't fit.
This was some time ago. before i was a member of the club. I no longer have the boxes\parts so i cannot confirm those numbers.

U will need to use the mz690115 or vs000413. Either one will fit.md360935 think will be the wrong one unless the numbers change

Is the MD360935 a paper element type filter? Cause i had a look on computer and it said it a cartilage type and it for cj lancers. I would take it back and get the MZ690115 then you know u have the right one. :D
