Having driven a run-in one, stock, I am happy to say I was quite impressed with its performance.

It is about on par with my VRX (2.0L) in a straight line, but in the corners, is where it has its gain over the Lancer. The weight has a great deal to do with it. It's kerb weight is 1130kg.

The reason the Lancer can keep up in the straight is the characteristics of the engine that give it an advantage. The RA is only a 1.5L engine, old technology dating back to the 80s. It is a 4G15 engine, last seen as the CE Lancer and Mirage engine, but with sataged- MIVEC head and of course a turbocharger.

Sorry for the novel haha :D

hahahaha now it sounds like fun, but I don't believe the 2.4 from the CJs would fit. You would have a bit more luck with a 2.4 from a CH, but even that would be a mission

Lol yes I guess you can say that.

Before I even had my Lancer (ordered but) I was looking under the bonnet of a new V6 Outlander thinking "That will fit... Muhahahahahaha"

For the record, it will fit hahaha

lol, really only looking at the Colt, because its smaller than the lancer, and i guess just as quick as a "normal" lancer.

They are a pretty quick little car
A mate of mine has one with a larger turbo and other mods done and hell it's quick! He drags it too - funny to watch against bigger cars, it kicks arse :D
