Fog lights legally can only be on in poor conditions.

^+1 it's illegal. Fog lights are only to be used during foggy conditions.

And even if you did it, unless you did a fancy job then you'd never be able to turn them off with your headlights on.

Illegal but who cares?? I have em on here and there and never been in trouble, been pulled up in RBT and the police haven't said anything. Also illegal to have a car too low or your $2000 stereo pumping hard.
But I would say that it's designed that way so you have to put them on manually for legality reasons. I'm sure there could be a way around it with the wiring etc??

^^^

Yes there is a way around it, 1x 12v Relay.

Constant power input, Earth, Trigger wire from parkers, Output to foglights.

Parkers turn on which triggers relay to close its circuit allowing constant power to turn fogs on.

In most vehicles. Auto headlights are control by the bcm. If u can find the auto headlights output negative side u could wire that to the neg wore on the fog lights

i never occur fog conditions in sydney cbd so ive installed LED style globes which dont have the same output as a normal halogen globe, but it still offers a little light. Nice white light to match the HID's also. you can find them on ebay for around 4 dollards delivered.
I find myself just flicking the fog light switch manually, just incase the boys in blue have anything to say, its easilly turned off. If you hard wire it and they pull you up for it one day, you will most likely get hit with a defect notice which you then may have to pay a small fine and defect clearance fees. not to mention the hassle...
