Just bought my 2nd hand Lancer VR last week n noticed this clicking sound coming from the front right corner while on idle only..
I've figured out that..
1) Its only there when warm (not on a cold start)
2) radio or even aircon will mask the noise
3) masked/absent while accelerating
4) if absent on idle, slight tap in acceleration will prob bring it on
5) heard in cabin only - louder on driver's side (front right corner)
its driving me nuts.. reckon it might be a EVAP line/purge valve. Does anyone know if EVAP is covered under 5 yr warranty? (I've lost the 10yr powertrain as a 2nd owner) Thx
