NA Motor Sport at slacks creek would be your best bet for tuning, othewise email tune or TMR or RTR or willall racing (maybe a few others but thats who i would trust).
only 3 shops that i know of can tune EVO X in brisbane - NA, Mercury, and some place in Toowoomba
exhuast - buy from the US its cheaper and will have proven performance over a custom exhuast.
filter - cosworth best results.

Tune + 3port will be the quickest and cheapest way to 300whp imo.
Quite a few X's getting around with the typical Exhaust/3port tune combo putting down low 300 day in day out.
I'm obviously a big fan of the open source tuning software/tuners so I'd be looking at some e-tuning.
Like the gst maps for the RA, alot of tuning info out there for the x and "normal" mods plus most of the guys have everything pretty dialled in by now for safe 300hp tunes.
No doubt a shop up here could get you the same peak hp result but the opensource guys have alot of cool tricks up their sleeves and know these cars inside and out. Plus there's difference between model years. Some are just basic different map addresses, others are complete reworks of how the maps interact etc

Yeah, the 2008 ECU is different to the 2010.. as 2012
It could be unlocked already...
Cosworth filter is the best filter out there atm.
If you want advise on X modding, Talk to Dan from RTR.
Wealth of knowledge, I spent a lot of time talking to him about the issues with my car prior to him fix it all for me, even drove to Melbourne to have it done. He may even recommend someone in QLD to take your car to.
