If only our lights were like this

Just found this picture of the sportback concept on this page:
http://www.zcars.com.au/mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/

If only our lights could look like these, even if an aftermarket set got released for the sportback, I'd be over the moon.

Although, I can't help but think the FT-86's lights look surprisingly like these ones on the concept?

Those lights are pretty nice. But in my opinion the front and rear lights on the CJ, especially the sedan, look really good. Lancers look really mean with those round eyes !

and I don't think the 86 headlights look that great.

I love the front headlights, don't get me wrong. And I don't particularly dislike the rear ones either. But the Sedan has aftermarket options available, where-as there are none for the sportback

Those rear lights look bloody awful! Just look like some tacky plastic thing every teenager would put on there car if given the chance, like what happened 10 years ago with the Altezza style lights.

Granted, they might go down the altezza route, but we definitely need some options other than tint film and VHT nite shades for our lights

@ Alex,

Here is an article I read a while ago from a guy at 9G Lancers.
He was also frustrated because no one had bothered to make a LED Tail-light to suit the Sports Back Lancer.

So he decided to make the Factory Tail-lights look a bit better in his opinion.

Here is a link to my previous thread in Dec 2011

As I mentioned in my OP, I'd like something other than nite shades. I like the tinted look, but in my opinion the lights are too much of a 'block colour'. Plus, LED's look a lot better.

Might give the nite shades a try anyway though, it'd be better than nothing. That topic on 9g has a couple of good designs. I didn't realise nite shades could be so versatile

If I were doing a similar mod to my Tail-lights, I would buy some Gloss Carbon Vinyl and cut it in the form of a template.

You would obviously need to make several Trial Templates from brown paper or light cardboard or general stick-on vinyl available from hardware stores etc.
Similar to these which suit a KIA KOUP

That'd work pretty well. Even with 3M vinyl, and just cut a template from that
