Public transport bombing photos - Aus stylez

Okay, so here's what happens to a Sydney train and Sydney bus when they get blown up at a military base in Sydney for practice and/or shits and giggles.

The train is a 'V-set' electric carriage dating to the late 70s and the bus is a Government Mercedes Benz O305 with Pressed Metal Sydney body, from around 1985. You can buy one of those buses for around 5 grand if you like. They go pretty well! Well, this one would have, not any more.....

This done to simulate terror attacks or something (the whole mock up station thing?).

Pretty impressive, whole roof of the buss has been blown back while still sorta remaining intact. Strange!

Yes, it was a training exercise to see what's left and what the spread of debris can be etc etc.

And also - remember, no smoking on public transport!

You can actually see in the top pic of the bus, towards the back - there were some pigs put in the vehicles to see what would happen!
