Exhaust Q

Postby vassago » Fri Jul 06, 2012 5:33 pm

hey all,

Ater reading through many posts on here and other research, plus being convinvced by Mitch to get the X-force exhaust (http://www.xforce.com.au/products.php?m ... i&model=78) i have now called around and am a bit gumped by the high costs im getting quoted on.

First i called Hitechmufflers who said they dont do the x-force unit, only make their own custom. They said they can do a custom similar to the x-force for $700 all up (thats including the clubcj 'discount').

Called x-force directly and then spoke to the nearest dealer to my location (which was in Zetland, Sydney), and they quoted $880 fully installed.

I seem to recall reading posts on here for members getting it for about $500-$550 all told.

Anyone who has had this done in Sydney have any suggestions on how to get this lower price on the unit+install? Know a dealer or?

cheers

@ Marcus aka vassago

Go to Hi-Tech @ Darlinghurst ..... quite a few Club members have been there and experienced pleasing & satisfying results.
The reason Hi-Tech don't do X-Force or others is because they only manufacture & fit their own made mufflers etc.

The quality of materials (Stainless Steel) they use is Top quality and they will fit the Muffler exactly as you desire.

I am getting quotes of $700 fitted for the twin outlet X-Force and that is including extra to cut the bar to suit the extra outlet.

Im happy to pay for work to be done, whether it seems expensive or not if it is comparible to the general idea of what people are paying its fine by me. When this type of thing happens I don't know what gives? Same job/part/time and a couple of hundred dollars difference. Shits me.
