Don't know about you guys but I'm always looking for new things to watch when I'm at home with the missus.
Please post if you have watched any decent movies or tv series lately:
Please include the title, genre, a brief description, how many seasons have been released if it's a tv series and any other comment you have.

I will go first I guess lol:
TITLE: Game of Thrones
GENRE: not sure what you would class it as
DESCRIPTION:Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros.
SEASONS: 2
COMMENTS: I have watched up to S02E10, was a bit slow for the first few episodes but once you get into it you won't want to stop.

TITLE: Top Shot
GENRE: Reality competition
DESCRIPTION:16 top marksmen compete in challenges, each week one is eliminated.
SEASONS: 3
COMMENTS: Generic "Survivor" type format. Girlfriend and I are addicted.

Sounds good ^ the walking dead is also another awesome series if your into movies like 28 days later and dawn of the dead - there are 2 season out

Watched the two seasons of The Walking Dead and I love it. Can't wait for the 3rd Season! Warning though its pretty violent

Walking dead season 3 I think is in late September, same as breaking bad and dexter

Spartacus - Blood & Sand, Spartacus - Gods of the Arena and Spartacus Vengeance.

Seasons 1,2 and 3 respectively, though Gods of the Arena is a prequel season.

All about a slave who gets forced into slavery, rises to become best gladiator around, yadah yadah yadah. Think graphic novel type violence and many.....ahem.....lustful scenes. All 3 seasons quite good, though budget seems to be a bit lower in vengeance and there was a change of main character after Andy Whitfield died after Blood and Sand.

I have to agree game of thrones takes a bit to get into and having half seasons doesn't help much, get a hold of both seasons 1 and 2 so you can watch it without large breaks.

GENRE: Crime, Drama & Mystery
DESCRIPTION: A group of grifters (con artists) undertake various cons. They keep you guessing right until the end when they state how it was all done, very creative.
SEASONS: 8
COMMENTS: I have only watched the first 4 seasons, but it is one of the best shows around, really well put together and great for those who like a bit of a mystery.


TITLE: Sherlock (The BBC TV SERIES) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475582/)
GENRE: Crime, Drama & Mystery
DESCRIPTION: This is a modern day spin on Sherlock - Nothing short of exceptional!!!
SEASONS: 2
COMMENTS: This is my favourite TV series so far. There is only 3 episodes per season, but they are 1:30hrs each and really well constructed. The cliff hangers are amazing and leave you wanting more and to find out how it all happened. The cliff hanger at the end of season 1 was awesome, but the end of season 2 topped it!!! It's a shame it takes a whole year until the following season comes out!!!! Can't wait for the next season

Boardwalk Empire seasons 1&2 are nothing short of brilliant - I kept wanting to watch the next episode again and again. Prehobition era Sopranos = enough said. Another win by HBO

Not a new one but the HBO series Carnivale is extremely good, gets the brain working however was cancelled just before the end of season two so it ends prematurely...

Just for those who are interested. Season 3 of The Walking Dead actually starts in October. Can't wait !!!
