I bought it for about $26k
This includes:

Automatic transmission
Paint protection
Tinted windows
Upgraded alarm system
Floor mats
Reverse camera
Portable GPS (thrown in for free)
Rego etc

I saved $450 (i think) on paint because I bought a white car.

If there is anything else I missed I'll remember to mention it.

Geee, Seems high :( . Good you got the aftermarket stuff paint protection etc will keep the value of your car in good condition. Also this is common people take there car in for a service make sure your mechanic w/e you take it fills out your log books. Resale dont like Receipts. They are looking for any excuse to give you less.

I agree *respectfully* with markh.

1. A MT model is A$21,888. Usually CVT will be 2K more A$23,888).
You paid A$26K for a CVT.

So really you paid: A$2.2K for:

Paint protection - > You could DIY this for A$150.
Tinted windows -> A$400 job
Upgraded alarm system -> A$250
Floor mats -> A$72 for OEM mats
Reverse camera -> A$300 for the parts to this.
Portable GPS (thrown in for free) ->A$150 give or take for a fairly good one.

Total= A$1,552 for A$2.2K

So yes Mark is sadly right, it was on the high side.

I do disagree on one point, the paint protection is useless. You can do a much better job if you DIYed.

Ahh that's alright. Thanks though guys!

I'm planning on keeping the car for a very long time so it will justify the cost a bit more haha

With the paint protection, it includes the preservation of the interior too and they can clean it for me if anything happens.
Also have warranty on the window tints too.

Yea I tend to agree with Ofey & Markh as well. But hey..you got what you like in end so thats what matters the most :) plus you didn't go to & forth to the dealer for weeks.. :)

I remember what a hard bargain I did when I got my SX. It was advertised as $20,990(including metallic paint) DA. Haggled down to $18,990 and added footwell lights, mats, binnet protector & weathershields for $210..total paid $19,200/ and the dealer gave me a demo car for 4 weeks to drive while I waited for delivery. Might be because I was dealing straight with the Sales Manager and had a strong reference. Took me 2 weeks (3 visits & 3 phone conversations) to negotiate. All worth it though :)

Every dealer myself included loves hagglers. Means your serious id rather haggle with someone for 3weeks.

Now it's too late for me to know that even the advertised driveaway price can be haggled with. I managed to trim $1K plus floor mats and full tank but next time, I'll do better.

How's the new car, Zik?

It's great so far! Just had some trouble with the alarm system lol. As I drove off a few times, the alarm starting sounding and I quickly had to pull over and turn off the engine and deactivate it. I'm going to find out tomorrow what the deal is and how to use it properly.

Picking mine up in Friday :)
White manual model got it for about 22k
Managed to get window tints, floor mats, fog lights and a full tank of petrol included
Just a quick question, I forgot to check when there but does it have the remote boot release button on the key/fob?

To open the boot you can use the button that is on your car key. :-)
