Hello from Stripler

Postby Stripler » Fri May 11, 2012 10:40 am

Stripler checking in to say hello.

Recently purchased a mint cvt my08 vrx and lasted about 2 weeks before booking it in for a custom resonator back exhaust to squeeze a bit more power out of it and reduce the horrible cvt whine. Was happy with the results and found that the car didn't struggle so much to get through the mid range etc etc and no longer made the high pitch cvt whine that I really didn't like.

Have since done the airflow mod and yesterday purchased and fitted the RA intake with my stock filter which immediately dropped my fuel consumption readout of all things! so I'm pleased with that and await the k&n filter I ordered from amazon for $46!

All the advice and tips for these mods were gained by browsing around this forum so seeing as it is pay day I purchased a membership. Looking forward to investigating the ECU tuning process.

Cheers,

Stripler

It's definitely worth doing. The car will still moan a bit, but it's more of a tolerable "moo" type sound. Much better than the stock "tinny, dying cat" type sound! haha

Ps. and thanks for the welcome
