Hey guy need some info. my nephew is going over to queensland for his university (QUT) so i was thinking to get him a used cj. what i need to know here is, what is the cheaper i can get ??

What trim level? ES, VR, VRX or Aspire?
Sedan or hatch?

You can now pick up a new ES for around A$20K
Brand new VR/Platinum is about A$23-26K
Brand new VRX is about A$30-32K
Brand new Aspire is about A$33-35K

I personally don't see how much cheaper a 2nd hand car mart can sell an ES.

Alternatively, you can get 2nd hand cars which have been taken back by finance companies for not meeting payments. This ES is going on the Manheim Fowles auction.

No need any extras as I'm sure you can provide... .

1 year!? Then you should look for a car that devalues the least!

Interesting would be you getting him a 2nd hand ES, most Queensland Mitsu dealerships should be able to hook you up with one from people who are upgrading to Ralliart or Evo.

Then put in all of your body kit and stuff. I reckon you can then sell it for the same amount a year later.

anywhere between $16,000 & $20,000 for an ES depending on the Kilometres traveled.

Yeah...if you go on carsales.com.au you can get an estimated value on a second hand car. CJ lancer Es usally go for 16-20

anyway 15,500 to 17,300 are still consider cheap. :lol:
