Got a wheel alignment done, now have to steer right to go straight... despite it supposedly being correct. *sigh*

Back to the tire shop tomorrow to see what they say.

Yes, I got my alignment done at a different place to my tires. People who did the alignment supplied, fitted and set up my coilovers so they should know if the alignment is right.

Good on ya Paul .....

I'm assuming you have already opened the Air Intake Vent to look like this ....
Image

In which case, you have one more simple thing to do ....

Reposition the factory horn .... either to another nearby bolt position or laid over horizontally.

The factory placement is smack in the middle of the incoming Air Flow Path.
Image

All the cost and exercise to fit an RA Intake Snorkel & Open-Up the Air Intake Vents is being compromised because the Horn is positioned in such a manner that it disrupts the Incoming Air Flow Path.
It basically inhibits the Air Flow & deflects it in different directions rather than allow the air to flow to the 2 desired paths.
1) Through the Radiator.
2) Up into the Air Intake Vent.

I'm sure you've seen videos of wind tunnel test with introduced smoke that displays how air paths are effected by objects placed in its direct path.

My neighbour Steve owns his own business selling car detailing products and stuff for garages so I went to his business today to try different branded products other than the usual Meguiars, Autoglym etc etc. He is the Australian distributor of Griot's Car Care products amongst other things.

I ended up buying some Griot's Best of Show Wax, Speed Shine, Microfibre Dry Towel and Microfibre Speed Shine Cloths.

I then washed and waxed the car. I will let the results speak for themselves. Please excuse the picture quality:

Keep in mind I don't really wash my car very often!

I was absolutely astounded at how shiny and reflective my car was and the microfibre drying towel was SO absorbent; I dried the whole car without needing to wring the towel!

Take a look at his website www.garagepro.com.au and either order online or let me know if you want anything. He will bring it back from work for me that same day and I can send it out the next day ;)

He couldn't speak highly enough of the Griot's Paint Cleaning Clay and the Dry Towel, so give them a shot and you will not be disappointed!

Received letter from finance co, saying my car loan's paid off in full, and they've released their security hold on it. It's only been 2 months since purchase, but horrendously high 17.88% interest rates tend to make me prioritise paying it off.

Which means now I'm free to start thinking about mods - first order of business is the sound system. I got stuff pulled from my old car that I'm not currently enjoying... Time to loosen some body panels!

Opened up the airflow in preparation for the increased intakes which should be moulded soon, and repositioned horn.
