I bought my Lancer because I couldn't come to an agreement with a Lotus dealer in Brisbane on a 2008 Elise. Then, my second choice was a 350z, but a private sale fell thru in Brisbane and there weren't any good ones at dealerships. So, I saw an ad for the Ralliart on Carsales.com and decided to take a gamble at something new that no one else had up here.
Gamble paid off!!!!

Oh, and I would love a start button - evo style.

Im sure that start button wouldnt be hard to hook up. It would be time consuming, but i couldnt see it becoming technical.

Lotus would have been sick though...

It looked cool and I wasnt paying lol. Twas a choice between this or a 2006 Ford Falcon XR6 lime green. Dealer wouldnt go low enough on the XR6, so this it was.

LOVE IT.

Just wait a few years, and I might consider the series 3 Lotus Elise due out in 2010. They are friggin sweet rides. A bit weird driving one though. Its like driving a go-kart.......Corners so smoothly at fast speeds!!!
Just wanted something completely different. Not many Lotus owners.
Not many Ralliart owners either, so I came up with a good choice!

Got that right...but you gotta admit, and im probably gunna get flamed for this, but more people would look at you in a lotus then they would in a ralliart. Most people dont understand cars. So the ralliart or any other lancer out on the road just looks like another car to them. but as soon as they see a lotus, its completely different to every other car on the road. NOT SAYING CJS DONT GET NOTICED! DONT FLAME ME! but more people would look at a lotus then they would at lancer

I wanted a Lotus cause it is different to the BMW, Volvo, Mercedes which is what most businessmen and women drive up here. Bogans drive v8 falcons and commys, and all the wannabe Fast and Furious drivers get 16 year old sklylines and 180sx, not to mention far too many WRXers (The old mid 90's style) I wanted something that looks nice over performance, but when I found out the lotus elise standard with 100kw of power can do 0-100 in 5.8 secs, I thought it ticked every box!!!! Luv the look. Oh well, one day!!!

My dream car is the lamborghini Gallardo. No matter which way my life goes, im getting that car. I could be flat broke and own a lambo, and i would still be happy. Its my dream car since i was like 6. Its one of those cliche cars that little boys have posters of on their walls. Just something about them that makes me want them more than any other super car out. Id take a lambo over an enzo any day of the week.

A Lambo Gallardo (In 10-12 years time) will be down to good value for money, especially if owned by one person who didn't thrash it. Probs about the 80k mark. Not too bad of an option. I can't really imagine that in 15 years time, the EVO 10's will be around the bargain basement price - 15 grand or so. Imagine the technology in 15 years. The EVO 14 or 15........Mind Blowing!!!

^^ Yeah...You know what aswell, i couldnt care if a evo could beat lambo round a track. Hopfully it will come within my reach when i get older.

Imagine if i win the lottery, a learner rolling around in a lamborghini gallardo. That would be a sight :P

The lancer is cool and all with the looks, much different from a lot of other cars on the road. Its a good car to mod with.

But... does anyone who owns an ES feel slightly jipped... I mean we're missing simple things like a centre floor console lid and front cabin lamps. Im sure Mitsubishi could've put them in EVEN in the basic model.

Dont get me wrong, Im still happy with my car =)

Lol sorry. You are still speaking about the lancer and why you got it. its okay to talk about other cars in this forum, plus, its about why lancer. and your just explaining why you got the ralliart over the lotus. plus a few other details in between. Its not really too off topic.
