I have the same issue with my black VR - what colour to use...
My sig is a Photoshop trying to show a Chrome colour - which is quite good... U can get Chrome coloured Vinyl, but it doesn't bend around corners and curves too well....
I'd bee heading toward a gunmetal grey or a Carbon Fibre weave perhaps....?
Main advantage with Vinyl is that you can take it off when you want....

matt, if you having spray your bumper, than please don't spray it because i will have the Evo X front bumper middle air vent conver. ready before Dec08. plus the Evo x Number plate. off course my number plate is not that type of fitting quality you purchase from ebay. my number plate will be fit and place very nicely according to the shpae of the bumper.
