Sydney Inner west Midnight Meet up n Cruize
Hello I am just putting a suggestion out here. Is any one interested for a Friday or Saturday Late Night meet up and cruize?? My reason for a LATE Night meet up is because everyone in the innerwest knows that trying to cruise in the Normal hours of the night on the weekend can be a headache if your with quite a few cars. There are traffic lights everywhere. But I have found a pretty good way to enjoy a meet up in the innerwest and enjoy a cruise on the friday and saturday nights.
Im sure everyone knows The ANZ Stadium in Olympic Park (the main strip). Meet up at 11-11.30pm and leave at around midnight to go for a cruise. As for a destination I have no joke about 30 good spots where there is no hassles (cops, council, houses, hoons etc..) we could go to. Ranging from views of the habour bridge and other spots facing the city, out west towards blue mountains or your just plain and simple carparks where no one is there at those times..At most of these spots there is very good lighting and very good for photo shoots and if you want you can set up a mini rc track. Alot of these spots i go to in sydney are on average about 30min-1hr nice drives.
The reason I have said Late night is because at those times on a friday and saturday night around the inner west is pretty cruisey..(not much traffic) And im sure this will appeal to alot of our P platers as i am one myself and we usually stay out pretty late (we all know we do)..
So my main question is: Is anyone interested with this??

Sounds good, bear in mind we have a mini meet midde of march and a cruise this weekend.
We're also OVERDUE for a "show and shine" photoshoot meet. So perhaps a we can roll this all in together for a late night photoshoot, feed and a cruise?
Perhaps a last weekend of March or first weekend of April might be a good date?
Thoughts?

I think that sounds like a very good idea Pete, to combine the both together and hopefully everyone enjoys the Late Night Meet and it could be an ongoing thing like once a month or so...Im just hoping we can get more interest with this one.(mainly the LATE NIGHT PART)..That is the main reason I want it a late night cruise because everyone in the innerwest knows its a headache to cruise on a fri or sat night during normal night hours...
If i get more interest in this and everyone is KEEN for the late night meet n cruise + photo shoot (and possibly a feed after if anyone is not to tired) i will drop in 3 locations I know would be great and we can have a Poll Vote on it

I forgot to add, if this does become a successful event and everyone enjoys the late night meet n cruise im thinking of doing it once a month or so for late night runs to various locations...Can be some normal roads than lots of valleys (national park) and mix it up with some freeway driving...My combinations are endless..But it depends if people are willing to stay out till 2-3-4-5am....My friends and I do it every weekend..It is so much fun sometimes we will be out until the sun rises....If this late night meet and cruise + Photo shoot works out and everyone has a good time we will discuss if anyone is keen for the late night runs...

I just love the colder temps..No bloody mosquitoes and a nice cool breeze

We also have to be careful of the club's image. I've been there done that, I know at times, those kind of hours does attract at time the "idiot" element that just act like clowns and ruin it for everyone, or worse, attract police attention. I'm not saying that bad things will happen, but we have to mindful that we dont attract the "wrong type of crowd".
As for timing, forget the first weekend of April, it's going to be Easter long weekend, and double demerits, so the police will be everywhere. So even accidently going over the limit by 5km/h and getting pinged for something so minor, will not be a "fun" event for the person getting done.
Best bet would be 2nd weekend of April being the 6/7 - the weekend of the 16/17 is taken uo by the usual mid-month meet.
Scott, PM Hoges (Ryan) he's the NSW rep, so he should be running and overseeing this if he thinks the event will not turn into a shambles and be trouble.

OK Pete could we make Room for this Late night meet up n cruise + Photo shoot during march? If not im happy to make it mid april (DD's i tend not to drive, not worth it when you only have 1 point left) So if it has be mid april so be it. Im not fussed at all. Im not saying lets stay out n drive until 2-3-4-5am..Like im planning for this meet up n cruise to end by 2am for our first go. If people want to stay longer they can that is their choice. I can give you my word Pete:
If the drivers who attend this abide by the road rules and not make to much noise to bring attention to us (loud music, revving) we will not have a problem. As apose to the spots we go to, if you keep your noise down you wont have an issue with anyone, As i said pete these spots are preety hard to get to and i keep them on the downlow (when i say hard to get to i mean your frikn rev heads n hoons do not know of these places they rather show off at lapa or bondi or kings kross n act like Wan*ers... When me and my mates drive we cruise cops never hassle us. . And my spots are preety cool to hang out at...1 Night we even set up a bbq thats how much we enjoyed this 1 spot...I will speak to Hoges
