Hey guys. Made this account a while ago, and have really only been lurking.

Have a (2010 Build) Lancer SX since Feb 2010, done a few visual mods and Tadzor's snorkel SRI mod.

And of course..!

Hoping to get a few more things done in the near future. Only started modding recently after being bored during uni holidays.

EDIT: Also wanted to ask whether this looks like it's worth the $120. It's some front airdams from a bodykit shop nearby. Would I be better off getting some from X-Factor designs for $80-$90 more?

Welcome Dazz :) And great colour!

I'm pretty sure the front airdams you've posted don't come painted. The X-Factor ones do.

Thanks! Also, painting isn't a problem I could probably get them done painted cheaply. I'm more worried about the material (ABS plastic), are the x-factor ones fibreglass or something? By the way, how is the Blitz drop in filter? I'll probably pick up a drop in filter soon.

Accentuates the blackout on the front bumper...otherwise from far it kind of blends in with the graphite grey :). Your car makes me want to paint my calipers too :P

The X-Factor body kit materials are in the first post here:

To be honest, the Blitz drop in filter does jack all. I can't feel any difference. Some people swear they can feel a difference, some say they can't. If I remember correctly, RPW dyno proved that it had no effect too. I guess it makes a little louder 'whooshing' sound under hard acceleration? :P

If you want an intake that actually does something, look into getting an Injen CAI instead. I think I will be if I can sell my Ralliart air intake. And you should also get an exhaust!

Hope that helps mate :)

I like how you've done your rims too, now you need to lower it! :D

[s]Thanks, seems PU is less likely to crack than ABS - might save for some x-factor ones then.[/s] Actually its PE and PP...not PU. Research time!

As much as I would love to lower it, I've been paranoid of scraping the front bumper. Scraped it once, and they went pretty deep too - needless to say I wasn't very happy for a few days. I'll leave the exhaust for a future-future mod.

Spraypaint in container + brush method, or mask off + spray method? I think the only restriction is that I have to wait for it to cure...and car is my only method of transport :(.

Would have loved to come - sadly I'm in southside and I have tutorial exams to study for on that weekend :x

Mask off and apray paint is what I did. Just paint your calipers on a free day when your bored. Haha the curing does take sometime.
