Bought an official Mitsi oil filter for my Lancer today, for an oil change due mid year (I'm still waiting for Supercheap to have a sale to buy the oil). Price wasn't too bad, ~$18.

The cabin filter however, was around $55 and it didn't even have a frame/surround, it was just a piece of pleated paper flimsy as anything. I tried searching online for this cabin filter from 3rd parties - they're hard to come by. So I hope this is money well spent to get rid of the 'stink' of the previous owner (I've been smelling him for the past two weeks).

I'm thinking your 1000/1 might have issues. They are a VERY efficient monoblock amp that doesnt draw much current at all to make the power they potentially output.

What size fuse do you have running on it?

Oh twas in my old Pulsar, the car had a 70A alternator. No I didn't have any issues, it's just on paper it had the potential to draw more current than the car alternator's total output - and to a by-the-numbers geek like me, I found it hilarious. (Of course the amp was way overkill for my needs, but so is a turbocharged all wheel drive performance car for daily commuting where avg speed is well below 40km/h - it's just how I roll).

I'd definitely love to see your ICE setup Matt. But as for me car audio's for fun/enjoyment, not to compete (altho it was kind of my new year's resolution last year to compete).

But I do think the Lancer could do with some application of sound deadening. Even if just to bring out the factory stereo.

Got around the getting the 45k service and got some RDA Slotted Rotors with QFM pads from GSL Rallysport installed.

Very happy with the service and the minor braking upgrade. :D
Love that car!

I filled up, it was cheap at "only" $1.589 for PULP98. 48 litres pumped in, averaging 13.3 l/100km for the tankful. Been thrashing it a bit, as I've only had the car 2 weeks and the novelty of forced induction torque hasn't worn off yet. The previous fill ups I've averaged closer to 12 l/100km, with more sedate driving but still plenty of traffic jams in peak hour...

Not too bad considering my previous car, N16 Pulsar auto averaged 9.5 l/100km in similar circumstances.
