Warped discs @ 30,000km. Covered under warranty?

I just had my 15k service on the RA and only had 20% wear which the dealer said was really good for RA but then i really only break to stabilise car or come to complete stop.
Do you have a automatic?? If so, your brakes will always wear faster.
I don't think they will replace under warranty, it's all about your driving style.

You might be able to get them repaired aye. Not sure how badly damaged they are. It cost you much less. I had the rotors on a CBR600 machined once, and they lasted a while after that. It might cost you around 50 bucks... not sure

Cost me $60 to get the Bubbles machined about a week and a half ago in Glen Innes.

Mitsu disks are renowned for warping. It can be a bit hit and miss though.

If the mechanic you go to has on car disk machining it should be cheap. If they take the disks off and send them for machining it will probably work out more expensive.

Also check how much is on the pads, it is always a good idea to replace pads when replacing / machining disks so they bed together correctly.

It's going brilliantly now. It sucks that the discs that were machined were only 12 months old though. Around 10,000km on them. They stuffed up a lot earlier though.

The last ones were way past machining. They were cracked.

I hope the Lancer gets a few more ks out of her. She's sitting on 19,000. The Bubble got to 180,000. And then 190,000.

had the evo's brakes machined. it was arounf 47000k's when i had it done. Its good to say what you have aswell as you dont do the brakes on the light which makes it easier on them. just to add my brake pads had atleast 3mm of material on them still.so it will last just depends on how you drive the car. and yea its 110% non-warranty item as its included in the wear and tear of the car. i asked last service.

The Bubble got its first set of new brake pads at 155,000 or so. New clutch at the same time. Then 25,000 later new rotors. Hmmmm that just shows what hardy little cars they are doesn't it. Pity the new parts are all shit.
