hey erin! i had an accident similar to this just on chrismas day. My parents was in the car aswell, some idiot ran a red light too we were 210% sure of this as when my mum's crv spun around we were directly infront of his traffic light. scares you to death the next day but being the eldest son i still had too, I was shaking like there was no tomorrow but i think the best way to overcome the trauma is to face it asap. well that worked for me.

By the way seeing that u wanted an orange one because they can see you more, its not true idiots will be idiots. my mums car was white with HIDs so there is no way you cant even see the lights! as I said to my parents, It will only come out to be better!! =)

all the best with your recovery!

Wow that's a horrific crash. I feel sorry for you.

But on the bright side, the photos are fantastic and look like the car is full of giant marshmellows; I love it!

Secondly, deploying all the airbags at once is a massive achievement that must be some kind of record, unbeatable until we get 8 airbags per car :-P

Maybe my sense of humour / the bright side of things didn't come through. I tried again ;-)

Clearly Sarcasm doesn't go well on the internet! Fail! Probably not the best timing? Save some for the cruises/meets maybe ;)

Well I cared about what happened but also genuinely liked the marshmellow picture and felt getting all the airbags off was an achievement. Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm out of line.

Hey guys its alright I'd rather try to laugh about it than cry.

Just in case I didn't mention it before, the lady in the other car was fine thankfully. Not even a scratch!

I found out yesterday that it was a write off officially, $16,000 damage!

I'll let you guys know what happens with the new one...

Thanks for all your support. :)

That lady should be banned from driving forever. Fortunately, no death or irreversible injuries resulted from the crash, but we have to take the likes of them off the streets.

Hopefully you gain your driving confidence back. I know it may take some time but it's unfair if your passion is diminished through no fault of your own. Try seeking for some counselling if it would help get you back on the road.

Finally, it would be great to see you in another Lancer soon. Best of luck!

Hey Erin glad to hear your ok... I grew up in swan view and went to swan view high... The same road this very accident was on. I know the intersection well. Glad your ok... Not the first time I've seen a bad accident there. Hopefully justice will prevail? You local to that area?

I lived in swan view for about 6 months but couldn't stand it. I'm back in the hills now in mundaring. The hills have always been home for me!
