Looking for the genuine mitsubishi gear knob.

Postby Evo_Girl » Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:17 am

Hi guys. Ok so I am new to the club so not to sure how it works. So after many months of fighting with my soon to be in laws I finally got my Lancer SX in November 2011 and I LOVE IT!!! So there is so much I want to do to it. And already have. But I cannot for the likes of me find a mitshibishi gear knob. They are really expensive from the deal so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get it without going trough the dealership? I have tried eBay but they don't had the really mitshibishi ones. Any help will be great. Thanks in advance :D

Have you tried Ebay.com rather than the aus site?

Hi Azalea, welcome to the forums :)

You're right, they are expensive! Its unlikely you'll find the genuine article for a reasonable price, so your best bet is to get an aftermarket one in a similar style. Make sure you get one that screws onto the existing thread, and not a universal one that will keep slipping off.

I have an aftermarket gear knob from ebay.
Have a look in my garage as I have a picture of it. It is a solid metal gear knob.
You coukld also try the US for a gear knob, Daytona Mitsubishi is selling a handbrake cover on ebay and I enquired about the gear knob but Im pretty sure it was too expensive.

Another option is in Sydney there is Mcgraths Mitsubishi that has lower prices for mitsubishi products...

Hopefully that helps

BTW Welcome to CLub CJ!!!

i want the leather manual gear knob also... but they are about $200 from mitsu.
saw on ebay, a vrx right off. had one in good cond. but they wanted $80 for it..
i dont like the idea of spening that much on a gear knob.
