Crazy silver/blue tint
Saw a Holden cruze with this crazy tint today. Not sure if the photos do it justice, but it's like black up top, then a weird blue/silver towards the bottom. Where do you get this stuff from? I want!

I'm not sure if it's illegal. As long as it was allowing 35% VLT (visible light transmission) through so the driver can see OUT of the car.
I know in some states in the USA there are laws now allowing mirror tints, because law enforcement cannot see if people are armed. True!
As for the local laws, I'm glad to be proven wrong wrt to legality.

If its Mirror Tint ..... then "YES" its "ILLEGAL"
Why ...?
Reason: The Sun will Reflect of it and Blind Your Sight ..... Just like someone shinning a Mirror in your eyes outside on a sunny day.
I'm sure you've had it happen to you and/or know what I mean.
It's also Illegal on Houses because it Reflects into your Adjoining Neighbors Windows ..... Many Councils have warned of Fines for these Infringements under the Local Govt Act.
Sam.

Assuming it's "mirror" tint. It could well be chrome tint, which has a metallic reflective look. Looks pretty hawt on dark cars.
As for blinding sight... the angles of the car glass surfaces are in such a way, they'd project the light in an upward direction... little chance of blinding other drivers.
Now you have me confused, hoses?! Reflective hoses? Never seen the product. lol. Why would you want a reflective hose? Must be some picky crazy neighbours to complain about some slither of light on their windows as the sun moves through the sky at the right angle... odd.
RTA is non-specific about external reflectivity, just VLT is mandated...

Gee, I'm glad I'm not the one loosing it. I was thinking it was some wierd product to prevent the loss of the coolness of the water with the sun heating it up....
