Hi guys, I just recently purchased an Ipod Classic and don't want the device to become all scratched. I have found some full body protectors which I think will do the trick, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice / reviews on these items?

Also if I was to get a case, what is generally the best, silicone or hard?
Thanks

Hard cases look nicer, but some of them can be ill-fitting and actually rub onto the backing of the iPod and cause scratches that way. I think the new Classics are matte instead of shiny metal though?
The stick-on body protectors should protect against scratches but do jack all against drops. I dropped my old iPod once or twice and the hard case did soften the blow.
I've been using soft cases like silicon or TPU plastic on my phones and mp3 players in recent times though. The problem with silicon is that it will flex and become loose over time, and you must be sure not to get any sand or abrasive dirt between it and the iPod, otherwise it'll be pretty nasty.
In your case, I'd go with a screen protector and a soft-case for the back.
