IMO the OEM and that sort of paint protection is a huge waste of money.. Sadly I bought the OEM paint protection when I bought my car and would never do it again..

Pay $100 for some high end products and DIY :)

Glad I didn't buy it then haha! Yeah I got sucked into buying the OEM paint protection too. Wasn't it like $1000 or something? I also got the rust protection, and tinting. I was such a noob, what a rip off. Never ever ever ever again.

Looking forward to you bringing the z4 on a cruise Graham :P

I saw one today and the most striking thing is how far back the cabin is. The car is half bonnet :P

Still thinking about the engine swap? Got any other plans for it? Its probably more difficult than a lancer cos you don't want to be as ricey

I woudn't actually mind being a passenger in that on a cruise, as long as you've got sick bags :P we already know how you drove your lancer, god help anybody who gets in the z4's way

yeah the drive was nice, i was expecting it to be alot more boring and longer but it went by pretty quick!

left melb city at about 11-11:30, hit adelaide at about 5-6ish
left adelaide at about 10-11ish and hit penong at 6-7
left penong at 9 and hit coolgardie at 6pm
after the whole police incident i got home at about 3am

I'd definitely do it again but it's boring by myself so i'd have to have company lol

Graham, that's one nice beamer. Before i got the VRX looked at getting the new WRX sedan, but didn't want to stretch the budget out to 40K as we're going to USA in 18mths for my 50th.

ahh cool, the new wrx sedans are alright but i'd probably prefer a ralliart :P

guess how much I got it for - here's a hint - the Lancer was more expensive lol

I'll let you know after the 9th as I may or may not be pleading guilty to all of the charges

This thread is so neglected now

But GUIZ GUESS WHAT

Idk where my thread went, but I finally figured out whats wrong with my alutec strut. Theres 2 new pics of it installed on member's cars that have made it glaringly obvious (one is a WA guy who came to the karts, jimmy something, sorry I don't know any of you yet! lol).

Heres a pic of mine:

And heres a pic of a proper one:

I'm obviously missing the middle bit on the bolt! Time to talk to RPW again, the joy!
The strut is so damn purty that I want to make it functional

(and yes its 2am, I've been devouring automotive eyecandy and promising myself I'll buy mods )
