Hi,

I owned a Proton Inspira (CJ CLONED BY PROTON)
Live in Malaysia!

why i choose Proton inspira?
-I wanted a lancer GT
-I cannot afford to PAY Lancer GT price here in malaysia
-It have the exactly same Engine and CVT with paddle shifter
-Comes with auto headlamps and wipers.
-with surround sound system!
-it is RM30,000 cheaper than Lancer GT.!

Can i become a member here in this club?

Welcome aboard

Just to put things in perspective for everyone.

A Lancer GT in Malaysia is the equivalent of a VRX Lancer here but sold with a RA front bar. The RRP is MYR 123,000 = A$38,600

As many of you might know, the Malaysian Car manufacturer Proton bought the rights to the Lancer design and launched it as the Proton Inspira.
The car is manufactured on Malaysian assembly lines but with the engine block coming still from Mitsu in Japan.

The equivalent 2.0L model is known as the Inspira 2.0 and carries a sticker price of MYR92,000 ~ A$28,830

Alot of Mitsubishi GT owners in Malaysia do feel shafted as result and has affected the Mitsubishi brand name along the peninsula.

Still it's the same car really and we'll slowly see alot of Proton owners wannabe Mitsubishis.

Welcome my fellow Malaysian!

The only thing I dont like is the front bumper, but for the savings of RM30,000 its worth it, i wouldnt be surprised if you could easily get an lancer front for your car for pretty cheap.
