I have been looking at the Calibre 5 inch 4 in 1 tacho from super cheap and was wondering if anyone has installed one of these into there Lancer and if so how did they go.

Also is the gauge any good or is it a waste of money.

thanks in advance

yeah well i would like to be able to see my trip meter and be bale to see my temp as well, and also i like the idea of the temp in C and not F, plus also it has volts and oil pressure all in the one unit, i like the idea of it

or am i a tool for thinking it is a good idea

What is wrong with the Tacho already there??? *facepalm*

Change your setup to have the temp as Celsius. If you have an oil pressure issue, the oil light will come on. If the car overheats it will alert you if you do not have the temp showing.

These cars have that many sensors to let the ECU know what is going on.

If you want something that is functional, get a scan gauge.

You can change the temperature settings from C to F or F to C using the MMCS if you have one... Don't know how to change the settings if you don't have one, maybe borrow someone's MMCS, change the settings and give it back? haha

why do you really want a temp gauge?

if your car gets hot it will let you know.

Scan Gauge is $200 and doesn't look ridiculous.

all my car has is a temp guage that shows a bar, and i don't have the mmcs, and how does a scan guage work, i have never heard of one.

EDIT: had a look at the links you posted, and they seem pretty cool, i already have a OBDII cable that i connect to my car using my laptop that tells me a lot of info, prob is, i don't want to have to have m,y laptop always connected

oh ok sweet as

EDIT:

I had a talk to my Auto leaky and he told me that the tacho can't be hooked up to my motor, cause it has four outputs instead of one. and that they only way to hook the tacho up is to tap into the wires at the back of the Standard tacho, so i did not buy one, thnks for all your help guys, really love the help i can get from this site

thanks guys
