Overlay Questions

Postby ripflare10 » Sun Sep 11, 2011 8:47 am

So I found this on Ebay and really would love to get the rally yellow overlay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-09-Mitsubishi-Lancer-Head-light-overlay-kit-smoked-/220437123831?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33531392f7

I'm just worried the police over here may not love it as much as I do. Just wondering is it legal to do this?

Looks awesome, but it would likely be illegal. It's just similar to the black tinting, but possibly even more obvious.

Even the ad mentions : "*For show car or off road use only, check local laws for street use*"

No question illegal.

I would suggest if you want to drive around like this, get a set of OEM head lamp protectors, tint them or vinyl them with the appropriate color then wack it on. If you get stopped by the coppers, pull the headlamp protector off.

mm I thought as much but I know you can have yellow fog lights so I thought being a lighter colour might be ok. I didn't even see that last bit swear I'm blind at times lol Got me thinking though if I could get a really lighter version of that tint so its only a small difference and its not as obvious. Food for my ebay research he he he

Ofey that is an awesome idea! Love it

Thanks for that people :)
