3000k HID on CJ

Hey guys im looking at getting a HID kit for my CJ and am currently tossing up between the 3000k or 8000k kits. As I have a red lancer i was thinking the 3000k would be more appropriate but havent seen anyone on here with it. Just wondering if you guys know anyone with a 3000k kit or can give me a recomendation on which colour to go for (ive already read a lot on the legality issues and the visibility differences)

So 3000k is the yellow and 8000k is very very blue.
The light output difference is drastic, the 3000k will light up alot, 8000k close to nothing.
3000k is usually used for foglights in incliment weather or in rally cars. I went for a hid rating inbetween the two.

mm yeah, i figured the HIDs will be a significant improvement over the stock halogens so didnt really take into account the differences in the light output between the colours. at the moment im leaning towards 6000-8000k. i have blue parkers in so i figured they may blend in nicely with the 8000k

Blue parkers are illegal and HID's that blue (8000K) are pushing it...
And yeah, they're also not going to light up much

thanks for the input guys, i ended up going with the 6000k cos i wanted a slight blueish tinge so it could atleast slightly blend with my blue parkers. will post a pic once the kit arrives and I get it installed

i got my kit today and installed it and they're pretty bright. i think i might buy some 8000k bulbs as well. the 6000k ones are nice but maybe too white to blend with my blue parkers.

Good to see another person who has no consideration for other drivers. You should be only running a 4300k or thereabouts. Other light temperatures higher really make the light so harsh for oncoming traffic, and people whom you are behind.

id say go more for 4300 or 5000 anything over that is an annoyance to other drivers etc, otherwise retro fit some projectors like your actually meant to do...

Doing it the proper way is too expensive for most...

I was going to put HIDs into my high beams as I do a lot of country driving, and didn't want to install Driving Lights. But I wasn't happy with how long they take to come up to temperature. Not much use when they are getting turned on and off all the time

This make me even more to keen to fit my HID own HID blinder as I am sick of the inconsiderate drivers around here who have illegal HID's. I would like to fit a 100watt 150mm HID driving light behind my grill aimed at your freaking head, one blast of that and I will blind you and your unborn kids.

i understand its more costly to retro fit a projector but its just not right without it... everything without just looks like S&*# IMO
