Blue footwells when all other backlights are red??
Just wondering, for those of you with blue footwell lights, how they look even though the dash info, clock, cd info and all other backlighting on the dash is red..
I was thinking of putting blue footwell LEDs in but I don't want them to clash. Thought maybe I'll just go get red ones to match everything else.

If you look at my car in the garage, you will see that I have all my footwell lights and the light behind my grill in blue. My boot also has blue neons.
The way I see it only anything above the trim line is red. Anything under that I've kept blue.
Doesn't really bug me.
The problem only comes when people have multi color arrangements.

The front are OEM. installed by the dealer as part of my purchase. I opted for that as my "sweetener".
The rear are just normal neon tubes 8" ones which I piggy backed onto the front ones so they all turn on at the same time.
The grill has a NEON bar 22" and a 22" LED array as well.
Neon tubes you can get from any of the 3 motor shops. Look for Aerpro ones.
LEDs are brighter though and have more glare. Neons tend to give a more diffused type of light which suit cabins more.
Alternatively if you want them bright just get a bunch of LEDs from oznium

In my point of view, red is just not a calming colour.
Sure it will match the clusters but the contrast with blue also works.
As I pointed out, everything above the dash line RED. Everything below it, blue?
For me it works.

Yes, I've got red oem footwell lights. Just had the car for less than 24hrs now..so my feedback would be that 'I LOVVE ITT'!! lol
But yea.. like Ofey said..blue might work for some...its really a personal choice IMO
another suggestion is change out the backlights on your dash if you really want blue, i couldnt stand the RED so i swapped them out for Blue, i did somewhat of a write up but if you want to get a quick glance at it check out my garage with the Blue Dash lights instead of the crappy Red,
Agreed with Ofey tho, it doesnt look bad to say its actually a nice offset imo.
but its up to you, i personally didnt like the red lights so BAM they are gone... almost
