New mods arrived in mail..... Cranky wife

Postby Latino_Ralliart » Tue Aug 30, 2011 4:08 pm

Anyone here have issues with their better halves when putting extra goodies on the cars? Wife is a little annoyed with the new exhaust, not so much the springs thank goodness.

Anyone have similar issues :P Might be able to pick up some tips on how to make her see its not so bad. She is not a fan of driving around with our little girl in a sport sounding car.

Fun times ahead once the parts are installed!!!

Explain that it enhances vehicle efficiency and saves fuel and money as a result, to spend on her? LOL

Haha, tired that once to whic the wife called 'bullshit'! Lol

Best way I've found is saying that I've bought something for the car and she can now buy something that she wants ;)

My Wife always complains about me playing with my Lancer in the Garage all the time.

To which I reply .... Well Then: How about I play with You ....
To which she relies .... Get back to your Car in the Garage .... :(

Now Seriously Gas .... Just don't tell her... !
Do you honestly think she divulges everything she buys all of time .... :?:
It's in their nature to be discrete and with-hold telling their Male partner.
Why: because they claim "We don't Understand their Needs"

When she whinges about the Exhaust Sound or Ride Harshness .... simply tell her these are items which wear and burn out, and "ARE NOT" covered under warranty.
This way you will have the opportunity to change them again in-case your not happy with your first selection ..... Win-Win ... :D

Sam ....

Yes I tell Nina I buy things because the car will be more efficient or it will improve safety.

I think I have worn her down.

Nina goes away interstate regularly and sees movies. concerts and thetre shows which I find all a waste of money.

Just make sure when you don't tell her that you're spending all the money on your car that you don't go off when she buys something and doesn't tell you.

I had a friend whose husband used to fly real planes and who was into model planes. He used to spend a ton of money on them. He upped her when she wanted to buy a packet of pea seeds for $1 to save money on food.

Just remember what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Sorry.....just a little over the top when it comes to one half spending money and the other half copping it when they want to spend on something normal.

Tell your wife to get a job then she can spend her money the way she wants to. You work hard enough for your money and you should have to explain what you do with what is left over.
